South Hill Park Natural History Society

The society, based at South Hill Park Arts centre, is for all those interested in natural history and its conservation. We run a programme of monthly meetings at which guest speakers give illustrated talks on a wide variety of natural history topics, both local and world wide.

Our meetings are normally held on the second Monday of every month, in the Recital Room on the first floor of the main house. Doors open at 7.30pm, with meetings starting at 8.00pm, we end about 10.00pm. South Hill Park is well signposted within Bracknell, follow the brown signs labelled 'Arts Centre' and showing a theatrical mask.

Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings and field trips, admission is £2 for non-members, 50p for members, this includes a drink and a buscuit at the interval. Annual subscriptions are £6 for an adult, £1 for a junior and £10 for a family. For further details please contact us.

We also arrange several outings / field-trips in a year, these are listed in the programme with more details available at the meetings or on request.

The society has created and maintained wildflower areas in the grounds of South Hill Park. We have also been asked to perform other work in the grounds with a view of increasing its wildlife potential.
